The study of movement and form in the human figure shapes the core of Ed's sculptural work. From the 4" renaissance style medallions to his 1 3/4 life-size Sportsmanship monument the surface detail of the work is secondary to the overall movement and classical proportions of the figure. Each maquette (study) is built from the inside out from the skeleton to the folds of the clothing in order to maintain the figure's energy.
